Educational counselling
At all levels of schooling, a student must choose between different types of instruction and different career paths. The best choice is not always obvious, and many students lose precious years because they make choices that ultimately do not suit them. So it’s critical to be certain that one has chosen the right field of studies.
My Sherpa educational counselling consists of two steps:
-
Career assessment
A formal career assessment confirms for students who have already chosen a branch of study that their choice is based on objective criteria that are in line with their professional aspirations. A certified pedagogical advisor performs the assessment based on a personal interview.
For the young person who doesn’t know what studies to undertake, or even whether he or she wants to undertake further study, the first task is to identify clearly what the student has learnt and to set long term goals. During the counselling session, the coach will lay the foundation with the student for working out a career plan and thus what to study.
