Preparation for exams
The best of pupils can become unnerved and “lose it” during the official study period for exams [blocus]. A key factor in success at exams is thorough preparation beforehand. Both at home and in other environments, students need to feel that they are not all on their own. Seeking guidance and asking detailed questions on subject matter or on how to organise their time generally are key factors in successful study.
That’s why My Sherpa offers various programmes of lessons to help students use their blocus successfully.
Private lessons to prepare for exams
During private lessons to prepare for exams, a My Sherpa coach helps students to plan their study. Depending on the student’s knowledge, the coach will highlight subject topics to review or supply extra explanation. The Pedagogical Advisors choose a coach who specialises in the subject that is causing problems for the student. Thanks to private lessons to prepare for the exams, students face the blocus confidently and with the right knowledge at their fingertips.

Directed study during the blocus
For students at university-level institutions, the Christmas vacation presents an essential opportunity for revising and preparing for the January exams. My Sherpa’s Directed study programme aims to work students effectively so that they are well-equipped to profit from the official study period for exams (blocus) and be ready for their exams.
A week of Directed study includes
- Guidance by a multi-talented coach from Monday to Saturday, 8:00 a.m. to 6 p.m., in an agreeable environment that encourages study: drinks, snacks and a place to relax are all available.
- Training in a group on university-level study methods.
- A one-to-one session to organise and plan the student’s work for the week of Directed study, and also for the rest of his study and exam period.
- Additional Option: 6 hours of private lessons with a specialised coach.
