Private lessons

At the first private lesson, the My Sherpa coach will analyse the student’s knowledge of problematic subjects. Then, step by step, the coach will fill in the student’s knowledge gaps, even if they are linked to poor understanding of concepts already encountered in secondary school. In mathematics or physics, for example, students haven’t always understood the basics that are prerequisite to understanding the more complex topics presented at university. During the private lessons, the coach explains the students’ school lessons to them, and reinforces the new learning through practical exercises and tests. Once the student has caught up, the coach will regularly monitor the student during the lessons to prevent him or her falling behind again. The coach will also teach the student a study method suited to his or her study profile (for example, facility for visual, rather than auditory recall).

The My Sherpa Pedagogical Advisors will set up a personalised programme for each student tailored to his or her needs.
