Our coaches
Who are they?
For My Sherpa, the selection and guidance of its coaches are particularly important.
Coach selection
My Sherpa coaches have all passed a test interview, an oral test, and a written test specifically on the subject matter that they teach. In that way, My Sherpa ensures that its team has the pedagogical skills and knowledge necessary to deliver private lessons well. Furthermore, the individual interview makes it possible to retain only coaches who are capable of building a relationship of trust with their students. Only one candidate in ten makes it through the selection process to become a My Sherpa coach.
Coach guidance
Throughout their course delivery, My Sherpa coaches are guided by Pedagogical Advisors and receive pedagogical support that enhances what they already know.
Coach evaluation
Through evaluation surveys and regular feedback, My Sherpa fine-tunes its coaches’ training and the team’s effectiveness.
Our approach to tutoring: “For students, by students”
My Sherpa coaches lead their students to knowledge, for not only are the coaches themselves still university-level students or young teachers continuously in contact with the subject matter that they teach, but also because they have been carefully chosen for their teaching skills. The coaches come to the student’s home to give private lessons.
Our approach to courses for adults: “The pleasure of learning”
Motivation is indispensable to any kind of apprenticeship; that’s why we choose dynamic coaches so as to offer training that focuses on practice, interaction, and exchange. Also, with a view to ensuring good quality service, My Sherpa coaches for adults all hold at least a Bachelor’s degree.
